Temecula Wedding Photographer – Ponte Winery Wedding
NATALIE & RYAN'S PONTE WINERY WEDDING IN TEMECULA, CA.
There's something special about photographing a couple you've watched grow together. A year after capturing Ryan and Natalie's proposal, I had the honor of being their wedding photographer. Having known the family for years, this felt less like a job and more like celebrating with people I care about. The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt, set against the vineyard's golden light and surrounded by the couple's closest family and friends. The reception? A full-blown party — dancing, laughter, and pure joy from start to finish. Here's how their unforgettable Temecula vineyard wedding unfolded.
What Makes Ponte Winery Special
A VINEYARD CEREMONY WITH A VIEW
The ceremony site is the heart of this venue — a pergola framed by towering Italian cypress, with rows of grapevines and the Temecula mountains stretching out behind. Natalie and Ryan said their vows in front of a simple wooden cross dressed in white florals, the whole valley laid out beyond them. There's no backdrop you could build that competes with what's already here.
SPANISH CHARM AND ENDLESS ROSES
Unlike a blank-slate venue, Ponte has real character baked in — ivy-covered Spanish-style buildings, terracotta roofs, and a manicured rose garden that was in full bloom in May. We leaned into those textures all day, from the gown hanging under the vine-draped pergola to portraits tucked among the hedges and blush roses. It gives the photos a warm, timeless feel you can't fake.
A CELEBRATION THAT MOVES OUTSIDE
The flow here is what makes it work. Cocktail hour spilled out onto the shaded patio under the sails, guests wandering between the rose beds with drinks in hand. As the sun dropped, we pulled the couple into the vineyard rows for golden-hour portraits, then back inside for a reception that ran full-tilt — dancing, chair lifts, and a sparkler send-off under the Vineyard Pavilion to close the night.

Golden hour, about an hour before sunset. The light comes in low across the rows and the Temecula mountains sit behind you. We usually step out into the vines for portraits while cocktail hour is winding down, then head back for the reception.

The vineyard ceremony lawn is in full sun, so midday and early-afternoon weddings are bright and warm. We plan portrait timing around the light and use the shaded patio and pergola areas for a break when needed.
