San Clemente Wedding Photographer – San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Session
SAN CLEMENTE SHORE BY WEDGEWOOD WEDDING | KAREN & JASON
This San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood wedding was the kind of day that reminds you why people get married outside. Set on the edge of Shorecliffs Golf Club with views of the Pacific, the venue gave us wide-open light, swaying palms, and space to roam.
While Wedgewood is known for convenience, my goal as their San Clemente wedding photographer was to make sure the photos felt unique to them, not cookie-cutter. We skipped the stiff poses and focused on the good stuff: the ocean breeze on the fairway, the Spanish-style architecture, and the energy of the dance floor. If you are looking for a golf course wedding venue in Orange County that feels relaxed yet polished, this gallery is the perfect example.
Why San Clemente Shore is a Standout Venue
GOLDEN HOUR ON THE "RIDGE"
The secret weapon of this venue is the golf cart access to the upper ridge. While the ceremony is down by the clubhouse, we whisked Karen and Jason up to the highest point of Shorecliffs Golf Club for sunset. This spot offers a peek-a-boo view of the ocean and that clean, palm-lined horizon that makes for cinematic portraits away from the guests.
SPANISH COLONIAL CHARM
Unlike generic ballrooms, San Clemente Shore features distinct Spanish-style architecture—red terracotta tiles, white stucco walls, and wrought iron details. We used these textures during the First Look to give the photos a warm, high-end California vibe that balances out the greenery of the golf course.
THE WRAPAROUND DECK
The flow here is fantastic because of the massive outdoor deck. It allows the cocktail hour to happen under the market lights with the cool San Clemente ocean breeze coming up the valley. For the reception, having that indoor/outdoor access meant guests weren't trapped at their tables—they could step out for fresh air, which kept the dance floor energy high all night.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, but we need to budget time. The venue is near the ocean (San Clemente State Beach), but it’s a short drive. I recommend doing a "First Look" to get beach photos done before the ceremony so you don't miss your own cocktail hour.
-
We take the venue's golf carts out to the "Ridge." It overlooks the fairways with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. It’s the perfect spot for golden hour portraits without getting sand in your dress.
-
It’s the best of both. The cocktail hour is typically on the outdoor patio with market lights, while dinner and dancing move into the banquet hall. This flow keeps guests comfortable even if the coastal breeze gets chilly at night.
