For Ria and Arshad, we treated their Crystal Cove anniversary session like a relaxed date night. No wedding stress, no guests—just the two of them enjoying the sunset on the cliffs. We focused on romantic, editorial portraits that celebrated how their love has grown since saying 'I do'.

The best way to end an anniversary session is with a reservation at The Beachcomber, located right on the sand in the Historic District. We timed Ria and Arshad's session to wrap up right at twilight, allowing them to walk straight from their photos to a romantic seaside dinner.

We treat it like a date night—walking the beach, talking, and enjoying the sunset—while I capture the connection you’ve built over the years.

  • Absolutely! Many couples use anniversary sessions as an excuse to wear their wedding dress and suit again without the stress of the big day. However, most opt for "elevated date night" attire—flowy maxi dresses, blazers, or stylish casual wear that feels special but comfortable for walking on the sand.

  • Since you are already at Crystal Cove, I highly recommend booking a reservation at The Beachcomber (right on the sand) or heading up to Javier’s in Newport Coast for a high-end celebratory dinner. We can time your session to end right before your reservation so you are already dressed up and ready for a night out.
