WEINGARTEN FAMILY PHOTOS AT THEIR DANA POINT BEACH HOUSE

Happy siblings laughing and playing in a hammock at their Dana Point beach house.

The Weingarten family session in Dana Point was one of my favorites. Three kids, two pets, a beach house, and a setup that didn’t need much adjusting. Jennifer was relaxed and easy to photograph. Carl kept the energy up and helped move things along when needed. Shooting right outside their home made everything flow—porch, yard, beach, and the street. It’s the kind of session that works when the environment actually belongs to the people in the frame. I had a full gallery before we even hit the sand. What Made This Dana Point Session One Of My Favorites

BEACH HOUSE LOCATION

Starting right outside the Weingartens’ Dana Point beach house made everything easier. No transitions, no set changes—just one familiar space that carried the whole session. The kids settled in fast, and we had plenty of variety without ever leaving the property. For families nearby, it’s a great setup that keeps the focus where it should be.

LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY APPROACH

This was a true lifestyle session—nothing staged, nothing over-directed. The kids were allowed to be themselves, the parents stayed present, and the moments happened without interruption. It’s a good fit for families who want something personal without the pressure of posing.

INCLUDING PETS IN OUR SESSION

Their dog followed us through every part of the session—from the porch to the waterline. It wasn’t posed or planned, but it added to the story. When pets are part of daily life, including them makes the gallery feel more genuine and complete.

Session Details & Pricing

This Dana Point session ran close to two hours, which gave us enough time to move through the space without rushing. That length works well for families with young kids—there’s room to reset if attention fades, and space to capture both the energetic and quieter moments. Most of my family photography sessions in Orange County fall in the 90–120 minute range.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. If your home is somewhere you actually live and feel comfortable, it’s usually the best place to start. You don’t need a perfect setup—just good light and a little room to move. I’ll guide you through what works and help you prep the space if needed.

  • That’s normal. I don’t force anything or try to pose every shot. Most of the time, kids settle in once they see it’s not a high-pressure situation. We move at their pace and let things unfold as they happen—that’s usually when the best moments show up.

  • No. You don’t need a spotless home or styled décor for it to work. I’m not photographing your furniture—I’m documenting your family. We’ll shoot in the areas with the best light, and I’ll guide you on anything that might need a quick tidy. Lived-in is fine. It’s not about perfection—it’s about place.
